After 18 months of tweaking, a star is reborn.
Bless her newly painted tyres. As with most labours of love and spontaneous ideas, we had no idea quite what we’d taken on. Needless to say she was more work than anticipated (or budgeted for !!) The only way we could deliver her on time for her first gig, was to cadge a lift?

Here she is making her debut appearance at Soho House’s Chiswick festival back in July 2010. And what an entrance! ….. I almost welled-up. Might have been the lack of sleep due to nocturnal bakathon combined with relief she made it in time (the driver got lost en route….)

But, just to prove she was always made of stronger stuff, she drove like a dream onto site – no mean feat considering she had been abandoned for most of her 47 years. They don’t build them like that any more…
